If you're new and would like to get an idea of what the Hunt is like, it's essentially an author-hosted blog hop. You'll have an author's content on your website, with a link to the next author on the list. Another author will host your information. Readers then go from website to website, learning all about everyone's books, and picking up clues to enter for a grand prize--a signed copy of everyone's books. All you have to do is:
- Host the other author's post on your website
- Create a post for another author to host
- Provide one signed copy of your book to the grand prize winner
- ???
- Profit
Here's the important information:
- Please fill out the Information Form located at the top of the page. I totally know that's it's long--but we'll be distributing this information to create the content for the Hunt.
- Also, the sooner you fill out the form, the sooner I can update the website. I'll be adding the information periodically as it comes in--and I'll be posting the updates here, so you'll be able to check back and know what's up.
- Feel free to spread the word about the hunt to your readers at any time. The website, YAScavengerHunt.blogspot.com will be updating constantly as people complete the form.
DEADLINES:
- July 25: Fill out the Information Form on this website.
- After this, we'll compile all the information and send you the content that you need to host on your site.
- August 1, noon, PST: post the content on your site
- During this time, please help promote your own website and the YA Scavenger Hunt
- August 5, noon, PST: take down the content on your site
- August 6: please let us know if you have any winners for the optional, individual giveaways
- August 7: We'll post all winners to the contests on the YASH website
